Ingredients (makes 28-32 truffles)
- 36 oreo cookies
- 8 oz softened cream cheese
- 12 oz of your favorite chocolate chips
- ½ teaspoon of vegetable oil
- crushed peppermint
Instructions
- make oreo truffle filling
- crush oreos into fine crumbs
- mix crumbs with softened cream cheese until combined
- scoop about a tablespoon of the mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper
- refrigerate for around 30 minutes
- melt chocolate
- combine chocolate chips and oil
- melt chocolate in 20 second intervals, stirring between each one
- coat and decorate truffles
- use your desired dipping tool (spoon, fork) and fully coat the truffles in the melted chocolate
- place truffles back on parchment paper
- sprinkle crushed peppermint onto truffles while chocolate is still wet
- refrigerate truffles for your desired length of time, or until solidified
