Finding time for school, work and sports may seem difficult for some, but sophomore, Weston Hack, makes it look easy. From being a star basketball player to a mathematician, Hack has dexterity that extends further than just the average high schooler’s talents. “I feel like I set a good example for a lot of people by balancing school and athletics and doing my best in both,” Hack said. Hack has been greatly inspired by those around him, including his brother Wilson Hack. Hack also tries to model himself after his father, making it his first priority to stay organized. This plays a huge role when finding time for everything in his busy schedule. During the basketball off-season, Hack has more time to do his school work or make some extra cash, working at the Lawrence Country Club. But he still stays in top shape, finding time to work out. Weston Hack’s skills are far from unrecognized; he is an inspiration to his peers as well as (unknowingly) an inspiration to most busy high schoolers. His time-management skills reflect greatly upon his academic and athletic achievements. Hack exemplifies the ‘scholar athlete’. |
