Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump lead Kansas Caucus polls
Saturday, March 5 is the presidential caucus for Kansas. Persons who are 18 or will be 18 come November can caucus this year, meaning many Free State seniors can caucus.
Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders are still in the running for the Democratic party and Donald Trump, Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, John Kasich and Ben Carson remain active for the Republican side. The Lawrence Democratic caucus is at Central Middle School, with registration from 1-3pm and the caucus beginning at 3 p.m. The Republican caucus is at Southwest Middle school beginning at 10p.m. until 2p.m.
Clinton is leading in Kansas with 33 percent in the polls on the Democratic side and Trump is leading with 26 percent on the Republican side according to the Kansas City Star as of last Friday.
